VEGF-D

Vascular endothelial growth factor-D (VEGF-D, FIGF, c-Fos-induced growth factor) is structurally and functionally related to VEGF-C. It binds to both VEGFR2/Flk-1 and VEGFR3/Flt-4. It is initially synthesized as a disulfide-linked prepropeptide containing N- and C-terminal extensions not found in other VEGF polypeptides, flanking a central receptor-binding VEGF homology domain. VEGF-D is a growth factor active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration; it also affects the permeability of blood vessels. It helps in the formation of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis and in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults.

VEGF-D Singleplex Products

Our VEGF-D immunoassays provide fast, accurate, reproducible, and highly sensitive measurements of VEGF-D. MSD’s MULTI-ARRAY technology uses simple protocols, requires minimal sample, and quantifies analyte concentration over a wide dynamic range.
