Standard Assay Kits

Standard biomarker kits provide a rapid and convenient method for measuring the levels of biomarkers within a single, small-volume sample. The assays are available in both individual and multiplex formats. Standard biomarker kits are research grade assays that are grouped into tissue culture, ultra-sensitive, whole cell lysate, serum/plasma, and base kits.

 

Tissue culture kits

Tissue culture kits provide assay-specific components for the quantitative determination of both native and recombinant protein in tissue culture supernatant.

Ultra-sensitive kits

Complex matrices (e.g. sputum, vaginal fluids, etc.), widely ranging concentrations of analytes, and limited sample volume can limit the efficacy of an assay. MSD’s ultra-sensitive assays improve sensitivity, expand the dynamic range, and enable measurement of multiple analytes from a single, complex sample matrix.
 


 

Whole cell lysate kits

Whole cell lysate kits provide assay-specific components for the detection of biomarkers in whole cell lysates.

Serum/plasma kits

Serum/plasma kits provide assay-specific components for the quantitative determination of biomarkers in serum and plasma samples.

Base kits

Base kits are commonly used for applications such as high-throughput screening and assay development. They include the basic components for developing an assay on the MSD platform. The typical kit components include MSD plates coated with the capture antibody, SULFO-TAG-conjugated detection antibody, and MSD proprietary read buffer.
