This kit provides assay-specific components for the quantitative determination of phosphorlated BCL2-antagonist of cell death (phospho-BAD) (Ser112) in human and non-human primate whole cell lysates. Phosphorylation of BAD by kinases such as Akt, PKA, and p90RSK blocks its pro-death activity. phospho-BAD binds to the 14-3-3 protein and displaces its binding to Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL.
