The Mouse IL-31 Antibody is a SULFO-TAG conjugated detection antibody for IL-31. It is the same detection antibody that is in the V-PLEX Mouse IL-31 Assay. Detection antibody is supplied as a 50X concentrated solution. Mouse IL-31 is expressed primarily by TH2 cells and signals through a heterodimeric receptor consisting of GPL (GP130-like) and OSMRβ (oncostatin M receptor β) though it binds directly to the GPL protein. This receptor is found on keratinocytes and IFNγ-activated monocytes. IL-31 participates in atopic dermatitis and inflammatory bowel disease as a powerful proinflammatory cytokine. IL-31 elevates the expression of EGF, VEGF, and MCP-1, and activates MAPK protein, which induces bronchial inflammation.
