FAP-α/SEPR

Fibroblast Activation Protein-α (FAP-α, FAPA, SIMP, DPPIV, FAPalpha, seprase, FAP) is a member of the serine protease family and is a type 2 membrane-bound glycoprotein. It has similar activity as DPPIV peptidase and collagenases, and is expressed by stromal fibroblasts. It is active as a dimer. FAP-α has been associated with enhancing tumor activity in cell lines, though the biological factors that cause tumor induction are not very well known. Elevated levels of FAP-α in the stroma indicates poor prognosis in epithelial cancer. Sites of tissue remodeling generally have high FAP-α.

FAP-α/SEPR Singleplex Products

Our FAP-α/SEPR immunoassays provide fast, accurate, reproducible, and highly sensitive measurements of FAP-α/SEPR. MSD’s MULTI-ARRAY technology uses simple protocols, requires minimal sample, and quantifies analyte concentration over a wide dynamic range.
