Eotaxin-3
Eotaxin-3 (CCL26, SCYA26, IMAC, MIP-4α, TSC-1) is a cytokine that belongs to the CC chemokine subfamily. The subfamily includes Eotaxin-1 (CCL11), Eotaxin-2 (CCL24), and Eotaxin-3 (CCL26). Eotaxins share only ~ 35% sequence similarity with each other yet share similar functional chemoattractant activities. Eotaxins have been identified as the dominant eosinophil chemotactic factors implicated in allergic responses via recruitment and activation of eosinophils. Eotaxin-3 binds to the CCR3 receptor, as does Eotaxin, MCP-3, RANTES, and MIP-5.
