V-PLEX Human IL-9 Kit Overview
The V-PLEX Human IL-9 Kit is optimized for long-term and multi-site biomarker studies that require reliable, reproducible results with lot-to-lot consistency. The V-PLEX Human IL-9 Kit enables the sensitive detection of native IL-9 in multiple sample types including serum, plasma, urine, cell culture supernatants, and PBMCs. IL-9 Analyte
Description - Human interleukin 9 (HP40, P40; Gene ID: 3578) is a pleiotropic cytokine that has effects on both myeloid and lymphoid cells. It is produced by at least 2 subtypes of T helper cells. Th2 cells were the first cell type that was recognized to produce IL-9. Recently Th17 T cells have been found to secrete IL-9. Naïve T cells treated with TGF-β and IL-4 differentiate into the TH9 subtype. IL-9 binds to its cognate receptor IL9R, also known as CD129, which activates the JAK/STAT network.
