GRO-α Analyte

Description - Human growth regulated α protein (CXCL1, GRO-1, MGSA, SCYB1, NAP-3; Gene ID: 2919) is a chemokine that binds to the CXCR2 receptor (as does GRO-β and GRO-γ), and is chemoattractant to neutrophils. It is oncogenic to melanocytes and other tumors, and hence has also been known as melanoma growth stimulating activity. GRO-α has antimicrobial activity and is expressed by monocytes, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts in response to proinflammatory stimuli.
