Description - Human FLT3L (FLT3LG, Flt-3 ligand, FMS-like tyrosine kinase ligand 1; Gene ID: 2323) is a cytokine that binds to FLT3 (CD135), a membrane-bound tyrosine kinase receptor. FLT3L synergistically stimulates growth and differentiation of hematopoietic cells when combined with other growth factors and/or colony stimulating factors. It also influences dendritic cell mobilization during immunization and plasmodium infection. FLT3L is expressed primarily as a membrane-bound protein but can be processed into a soluble, secreted form.
