The Mouse IL-17 Ultra-Sensitive Kit provides assay-specific components for the quantitative determination of endogenous IL-17 in mouse serum and plasma.

Mouse IL-17A, also known as CTLA-8, is a glycosylated 17.5 kDa homodimer protein with two disulfide bonds. It is a member of a six-species family of proteins (IL-17A-F) and is expressed by the TH17 cell lineage. This lineage selectively produces proinflammatory cytokines including IL-17A, IL-17F, IL-21, and IL-22. IL-17A can dimerize with IL-17F. The receptor for IL-17A, IL-17F, and the IL-17A/IL-17F hetereodimer consists of IL-17RA and IL-17RC. Elevated levels of IL-17A have been associated with several conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, airway inflammation, allograft rejection, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, cancer, and multiple sclerosis.
