Description - NHP interleukin 23 (IL-12B) is a heterodimer composed of the p40 protein (Gene ID: 694747) that is shared with IL-12, and p19 (Gene ID: 712627), which belongs to the IL-6 superfamily. IL-23 is secreted by dendritic cells and macrophages, is involved in Th17 cell differentiation in a proinflammatory setting, and induces proliferation of memory T cells.

Disease Focus/Application Area - Crohn’s disease and other autoimmune disorders including psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, and certain tumors.
