U-PLEX Mouse IL-12/IL-23p40 Assay

U-PLEX Mouse IL-12/IL-23p40 Assay Overview
The U-PLEX Mouse IL-12/IL-23p40 Assay maximizes your flexibility to design an experiment that measures IL-12/IL-23p40 alone or multiplexed with MSD U-PLEX assays, your own antibody pairs, or a combination of both. U-PLEX assays demonstrate high sensitivity, excellent precision, and up to 5-logs of linear dynamic range. Plates are read in less than 90 seconds on any MSD instrument, using no complicated fluidics or calibration procedures.

U-PLEX Mouse IL-12/IL-23p40 Assay Features
  • Simple protocol similar to ELISAs, yet uses less sample
  • Measures mouse IL-12/IL-23p40 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants
  • Create custom multiplexes using a selection of U-PLEX assays, your own antibody pairs or both

Assay Format
  • Singleplex – includes MSD GOLD Small Spot Streptavidin Plates
  • Multiplex – includes U-PLEX multiplex plates
  • Both formats use the same assay components for efficient transfer between single- and multiplex configurations.

IL-12/IL-23p40 Analyte
Description- Mouse IL-12/IL-23p40 (CLMF p40, IL-12B, NKSF2) is a glycosylated 37.2 kDa protein with five internal disulfide bonds. This cytokine can form heterodimers by binding to the IL-12A subunit or the IL-23p19 subunit to form IL-12 and IL-23, respectively. It can also dimerize with itself to form the p80 homodimer. It acts as a growth factor for activated T and NK cells and stimulates NK/lymphokine-activated killer cells and IFN-γ production. IL-12/IL-23p40 binds to IL-12Rβ1 which is part of both IL-12 and IL-23 receptor complexes..

Disease Focus - Bacterial infection, intracellular pathogens, sepsis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

NOTE: The U-PLEX Mouse IL-12/IL-23p40 Assay should not be combined in the same plate with U-PLEX Mouse IL-12p70 due to cross reactivity of the p40 protein.
