Are the Aß and Tau calibrators in the validated Human Aß42 and Human Total Tau kits native protein?
The Total Tau assay is a recombinant Tau 441 protein expressed in E.coli. The Aß42 calibrator is a full-length, synthesized peptide provided in an artificial CSF diluent. MSD has an extensive incoming QC and reagent handling procedure to identify degradation and to verify reproducibility of the calibrators.
