Customize an R-PLEX Assay with the Assay Designer
R-PLEX Antibody Sets are a fast, easy way to design a high-performance singleplex or multiplex immunoassay that delivers all of the advantages of MULTI-ARRAY technology.
Singleplex R-PLEX assays are created on MSD GOLD Small Spot Streptavidin plates, while multiplex assays are designed by combining R-PLEX Antibody Sets on U-PLEX plates. R-PLEX sets can also be multiplexed with our extensive selection of U-PLEX Antibody Sets.

Step 2. Select R-PLEX Antibody Sets
Please select your desired R-PLEX Antibody Set(s). R-PLEX Antibody Sets contain a biotinylated capture antibody, a SULFO-TAG labeled detection antibody, and a calibrator.
You may choose to multiplex R-PLEX Antibody Sets alone or with U-PLEX Antibody Sets. In the next step you will be given the option to add U-PLEX Antibody Sets to your multiplex assay.
All R-PLEX Antibody Sets and components have been individually tested to perform to specifications. When multiplexing R-PLEX Antibody Sets, we recommend that you perform the optimization steps detailed in the U-PLEX Development Pack Product Insert.
Note: The R-PLEX Human CD5 Antibody Set requires a final concentration of 2% Triton X-100 in the assay diluent. The effect of this addition on other assays has not been determined.

In this step you have the option to add U-PLEX Antibody Sets to your R-PLEX Antibody Sets. Consider that analyte concentration, diluent compatibility, and cross-reactivity of assay components may impact a multiplex assay. Please review U-PLEX datasheets for known cross-reactivities with other U-PLEX assays. If you choose to multiplex R-PLEX and U-PLEX Antibody Sets, we recommend that you optimize the assay as detailed in the U-PLEX Development Pack Product Insert.

Step 4. Select Plate Quantity
Please select your desired plate quantity. U-PLEX Development Packs contain plates to perform multiplex R-PLEX and U-PLEX assays.
Each plate in a U-PLEX Development Pack contains 96 wells. Each well has sufficient Open Spots (from 2 to 10) for your selected assays. For example, if you have selected a total of 4 R-PLEX and/or U-PLEX Antibody Sets, you should use a 4-Assay U-PLEX Development Pack. If you have selected a total of 12 R-PLEX and/or U-PLEX Antibody Sets, you should use a 10-Assay U-PLEX Development Pack and a 2-Assay U-PLEX Development Pack.

Diluent Selection
Both assay diluent and antibody diluent are required to complete and run an assay using R-PLEX Antibody Sets.
Refer to the datasheets associated with your selected R-PLEX Antibody Sets for diluent guidance.

Below is general guidance regarding diluents.
- If your selection consists solely of R-PLEX Antibody Sets, and you have not selected any U-PLEX assays, please refer to the datasheet and product insert associated with each R-PLEX Antibody Set for guidance on assay and antibody diluents.
- If your selection contains rat R-PLEX Antibody Sets, we recommend using Assay Diluent 42 and Antibody Diluent 40 to complete your order.
- If your selection includes any human or NHP U-PLEX assays, we recommend using Assay Diluent 57 and Antibody Diluent 3 to complete your order.
- If your selection contains mouse U-PLEX Antibody Sets, we recommend using Assay Diluent 41 and Antibody Diluent 45 to complete your order.
