Description - NHP interleukin 22 (TIFa, IL-TIF; Gene ID: 718047) is a homodimer that is secreted by activated T cells, especially Th17 cells and NK cells. IL-22 signals through a heterodimeric receptor composed of IL-22R and IL-10Rβ that is expressed primarily on epithelial cells, promoting their proliferation.

Disease Focus/Application Area - Psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, graft-versus-host disease, certain tumors, and liver damage.
