U-PLEX Human I-TAC Assay


MSD offers a range of individual assays utilizing U-PLEX Antibody Sets that provide a rapid and convenient method for measuring biomarkers in complex matrices. The individual assays are offered on MSD GOLD Small Spot Streptavidin Plates and use the same antibody sets and diluents as the U-PLEX multiplex assays. This allows for efficient transfer between the individual assay and a higher throughput multiplex configuration. Typical of assays developed on the MSD platform, the individual assays have high sensitivity, excellent precision, provide up to five-logs of linear dynamic range, and require minimal sample volume. Interferon-stimulated T-cell alpha chemoattractant (CXCL11), also known as interferon gamma-inducible protein-9 (IP-9), is a cytokine chemotactic for activated T cells. Gene expression of I-TAC is mostly induced by IFN-γ and IFN-&beta, and to a lesser degree by IFN-α. I-TAC is highly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, pancreas and liver. I-TAC is also produced in moderate levels in thymus, spleen and lung. Low expression levels of I-TAC can also be found in small intestine, placenta, and prostate. The U-PLEX Human I-TAC Assay provides the components for the quantitative determination of both natural and recombinant human interferon-inducible T-cell a chemoattractant (I-TAC or CXCL11) in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants.
