SCFR/Kit

Stem Cell growth Factor Receptor (SCFR/Kit, c-Kit, Kit, CD117, PBT) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds mast cell growth factor. It is expressed mostly on the surface of hematopoietic stem cells. When bound to stem cell factor ligand (steel factor or c-Kit ligand), SCFR/Kit forms a dimer that auto-phosphorylates, then activates signal transduction pathways that influence cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation. SCFR/Kit is a proto-oncogene that drives the development of certain leukemias and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). The level of SCFR/Kit is routinely used to distinguish between different tumor types with similar appearance, making this a useful tool for cancer research. Conversely, SCFR/Kit activation can be used to mobilize hematopoietic cells from marrow to blood to elevate cell counts.

SCFR/Kit Singleplex Products

Our SCFR/Kit immunoassays provide fast, accurate, reproducible, and highly sensitive measurements of SCFR/Kit. MSD’s MULTI-ARRAY technology uses simple protocols, requires minimal sample, and quantifies analyte concentration over a wide dynamic range.
