will be responsible for all aspects of planning, coordinating
and executing activities related to MSD's world-wide trade
show exhibits, conference sponsorships and VIP events. The
successful candidate will be responsible for logistical and
detailed coordination with all vendors to ensure deadlines
are met, manage expenses, track and report event data via
spreadsheets and databases, onsite event coordination and
management, and coordination of lead follow-up with the sales
force.

is looking to hire a Laboratory Equipment Field Service Engineer
for the West Coast, US. Candidate will install, maintain and
repair MSD Sector Imager and Sector PR instruments mainly
on US West Coast but also in other western states and Canada.
Candidate must be outgoing, people oriented and customer service
minded person. Background in electronics, engineering, computers
and/or life science laboratory equipment preferred. Past field
service work is a plus. Familiarity with computers, computer
software, Windows 2000/XP and MS Office required.

individual will be responsible for processing quote requests
and orders. This requires inter-office communications with
logistics and manufacturing to facilitate shipping, and interoffice
communications with finance to facilitate invoicing. This
individual will also communicate the status of these processes
to both customers and sales representatives, worldwide, via
phone and email. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,
to include Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point is required.
Candidates with at least six months experience supporting
a sophisticated sales force and their customers are preferred.
Candidates should have a B.A. or B.S. degree. A Life Sciences
background is preferred, but not required. The ability to
read and/or speak French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish
is a plus, but not required.

individual will be responsible for writing, editing and authenticating
technical and promotional materials including product inserts,
application papers, product descriptions, data sheets, specification
books, conference presentations, and brochures. This candidate
will also be responsible for the content of internet-based
communications. Candidates with at least one year of scientific writing experience in the biological field and lab experience using comparable products to MSD are preferred. Candidates should have a B.S. in a life science discipline, Masters preferred.

Position
will be responsible for: training customers; providing support
for biomarker immunoassay kits; assisting customers in the
development of new biological assays; and helping to expand
into new scientific opportunities at customer sites. The candidate
must be able to work in an interdisciplinary environment and
integrate information between R&D groups and sales and marketing
groups to provide the resolution of customer issues and expand
the customer base through scientific networking. Candidates
should have at least several years of hands-on experience
working in a molecular biology lab, clinical lab, discovery
lab, or biochemistry lab. Candidates should have at least

lab. Candidates should preferably have a Ph.D. in biology,
biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, or other related area.
3-5 years of industry experience in a research or clinical
setting is required. The candidate will be responsible for
creating reports and presentations to customers on assays
developed with the customer, or for the customer. The candidate
must be able to travel up to 70% of the time, however if based
in the field, the travel could be as low as 25% of the time.
There are positions open for the west coast, mid-west, or
Maryland areas.
