Planner

Meso Scale Discovery is looking for a full time Planner to manage all aspects of Production Planning for assigned work centers, commodities or products.

Job responsibilities include the coordination of work orders for assigned commodities, development of shipment schedules for made to order items and planning the execution of weekly, monthly and quarterly Production Plans.

In addition, candidate will interface daily with Customer Service, Marketing, Production, Quality Control and Sales to review back order status, prioritize production orders and address other potential schedule interruptions or changes.

Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent. 2 plus years experience in production planning & scheduling or equivalent, excellent knowledge of planning/scheduling procedures and practices. In addition, experience working with an MRP inventory control system, in the analysis of sales forecasts, in setting optimal inventory stocking levels and reorder points is required.

Engineering Technician

MSD is looking to hire an engineering technician. Candidate will support the development of instrumentation and consumables for the clinical and bio-defense markets that use Meso Scale Diagnostics' unique technology. Candidate will work on a cross-functional team with team members from a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines. Candidate’s responsibilities will include: assembling prototype consumable devices, both manually and by operating automated assembly equipment; operating fluid dispensing equipment for processing of consumable device components; using various tools and equipment for the fabrication of prototype consumable devices; testing and inspecting device components using a variety of test and inspection equipment.

Successful candidate will possess excellent hands-on technical skills, including the ability to work with tools and laboratory equipment. Ability to work with computers to operate lab and automation equipment is required. Experience with mechanical and electronic test equipment is a plus, as is computer programming experience. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Electromechanical Manufacturing Technician

MSD has an opening for an Electromechanical Manufacturing Technician to work in Instrument Manufacturing. This individual will be primarily responsible for mechanical assembly of instrumentation including sub-assembly builds/final product testing. Job duties will also extend to supporting the manufacturing team in new product development, instrument trouble shooting, PC configuration and test documentation. A self starter with an AA degree or higher in Electronics is desired with a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Strong electro-mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, ESD knowledge, IPC 610-A certification or equivalent, proficiency in using PC (Windows, MS Office) is required. Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, hands-on mechanical assembly skills, and ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. This person must have ability to use all kinds of hand and power tools and be a dependable team player, motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.
